The dock cleared out this morning. This picture was taken at 10:00 a.m. when the only two boats on the dock were Tradition and our sailing friend, Dave on his boat Logos. Throughout the day the dock as filled up. The predicted blow arrived around 11:00 am this morning and has been blowing hard all day. Just outside the dock there are white caps. We are really glad we decided to hold back a day.
We will depart tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. Our goal is to get to Coghlan Anchorage if we can manage the 9 hour cruise. Otherwise we will tuck in at Lowe Inlet. We are pushing ahead with long days this week, hopefully getting to ShearWater by Wednesday and then on to Fury Cove as early as Thursday to stage for our Cape Caution crossing. We are waiting to get an update from Chris as we work our way further south from there. It’s continues to be VERY breezy out tonight, so we are hoping for some calmer weather in the AM. Keeping our fingers crossed.🤞
